You may remember last week’s post where I made a leather tassel garland out of some fabric scraps. If not, it’s here ;). I found a bin full of leather scraps at our local fabric outlet and grabbed a bagful. Using some other items I had on hand, this happened.
There was a good amount of leftover scraps and I have been trying to figure out what to do with them, so I decided to give you a roundup of all my favorite ideas. Some of them require larger scraps than what I gathered, but you might be lucky enough to have access to some large ones! I made a few hair ties that I’ve been rocking on dirty hair days to distract from my grit. ;) Basically, I just cut out a bow tie shape from my leather scrap and tied it around a hair tie. No glue, no sewing, no other supplies needed! You just have to play with it for a minute to get the shape right. What do you think?
Here are a few other ideas I’m debating on trying…
DIY Leather Tassel Keyring (love the scale)
These are all pretty simple, right? Have you made anything with leather scraps? Happy weekend!
